“Congress Unveils Star Campaigners List for Uttar Pradesh Ahead of Lok Sabha Polls”

The Mallikarjun Kharge-led Congress has revealed its star campaigners list for Uttar Pradesh as part of its preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections in 2024. The list boasts a lineup of prominent leaders, including former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, among others.

With Uttar Pradesh sending 80 MPs to the Lok Sabha, the Congress is strategically positioning key figures to galvanize support and mobilize voters. Alongside Sonia, Rahul, and Priyanka Gandhi, the star campaigners list includes the dynamic leadership of Mallikarjun Kharge, Karnataka deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar, Digvijaya Singh, Sachin Pilot, Alka Lamba, Ajay Rai, and chief ministers Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Siddaramaiah, and Revanth Reddy.

In a bid to strengthen its electoral prospects, the Congress has also been actively finalizing candidates for various constituencies. The party recently released its ninth list, announcing five candidates for the upcoming polls. Notable names include CP Joshi from Rajasthan’s Bhilwara and Damodar Gurjar from Rajsamand.

The party’s focus extends beyond Rajasthan, with candidates like Kalicharan Munda, Sukhdeo Bhagat, and Jai Prakashbhai Patel contesting from Jharkhand. In Madhya Pradesh, Rao Yadvendra Singh, Tarvar Singh Lodhi, and Pratap Bhanu Sharma are set to challenge prominent opponents. For Uttar Pradesh, the Congress has released four candidates, including Dolly Sharma, Shivram Valmiki, Nakul Dubey, and Virendra Chaudhary.

The upcoming Lok Sabha elections hold significant importance, considering the BJP’s strong performance in the 2019 elections, securing 303 seats compared to the Congress’s 52 seats. With the election scheduled in seven phases starting April 19, over 97 crore eligible voters are gearing up to cast their votes, setting the stage for a crucial political battle.
